Located in the western part of the Kerch Strait, which connects the Azov and Black seas, the sea port was founded in 1821. The merchant port includes a 24/7 state border checkpoint for international maritime cargo, passenger and ferry traffic. Cargo operations in the port are carried out around the clock, seven days a week.
