The railway station was built in the city centre in 1874. It has a waiting room, booking offices, an information centre, a left luggage room, shops and cafés, and areas where passengers can rest. A bus terminal is located next to the railway station. The building of the railway station was destroyed twice — during the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War — and was completely rebuilt in 2009.
