At the moment, the minister is in Minsk, where the Ótdykh-2022 largest tourism exhibition is being held. We wrote more about it here.

"Yesterday we had a rather important meeting with the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kovalchúk, at which certain agreements were reached on a direct railway connection with the Minsk-Smolénsk-Simferópol route. Air traffic issues were also discussed. These opportunities exist, and they are absolutely real," Vadím Vólchenko emphasized.

In turn, the Minsk City Council member Roman Níkonov, who also attended the online event, noted that there is no specific date for the launch of the train yet. "I hope that the railway traffic will start soon, because the season is coming. For our part, we will accelerate these processes as much as possible," R. Níkonov assured.

At the same time, the Head of the Crimean Ministry of Resorts said that this year the Republic of Crimea has been officially exhibited at the most significant tourist event in Minsk for the first time. And this gives reason to expect fruitful and mutually beneficial results.

"The exhibition itself accounts for high attendance, and this is really a place for business communication with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. Today there will be meetings with big business, with trade unions and government agencies and we will also discuss the possibility of entering social programs that are very well developed here. Belarus can offer Crimeans a lot of interesting proposals concerning health resorts treatment, agricultural and green tourism. Here, decisions have been made at the legislative level, which, probably, will help us develop as well. That is, such an exhibition can really become a platform for the mutual exchange of tourist flows, − Vadím Vólchenko is convinced. − We, in turn, invite colleagues to the 'Intourmarket. Crimea' tourism exhibition, which will be held from 12 to 14 May in Eupatoria".

He added that the Crimean tour operators have prepared for the Minsk partners a number of interesting proposals, which are more than competitive. In addition, there is already an agreement on opening representative offices of Crimean tour operators in the Republic of Belarus.
