"It is planned to exhibit a number of works by I.K. Aivazovsky, his students and representatives of Russian landscape painting of the second half of the 19th century from the museum collection. The exhibition is part of the events, which in the museum's anniversary year continues the series of exhibitions of the Crimean Context: Painting, Graphics, Sculpture project," the museum spokesperson said.

By the way, among the students of Aivazovsky there were talented landscape painters Lev Lagorio, Emmanuel Magdesian and Mikhail Alisov. The tradition of the romantic Crimean landscape was continued by Arseniy Meshcherskiy. And the development of the marine theme in Russian painting is demonstrated by the works of Alexei Bogolyubov, Rufim Sudkovsky, Nikolai Dubovskiy.

During the exhibition, it is planned to hold thematic excursions, media talks, and creative master classes. 

The exhibition will open on February 18 at 03:00 p.m. You can visit it until April 3. 

The exposition will be located in the main building of the Museum at the address: Simferopol, 35 Dolgorukovskaya St. 

Opening hours: Tuesday from 11.30 a.m. to 08:00 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday from 09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m., Monday − day off.
