The respondents expressed their opinions about the places where they stay or stayed in the past year. Analyzing their places chosen for vacations, the respondents ticked off the picturesque nature, many attractions, availability of restaurants and hotels, road conditions, and the number of tourists. The participants of the survey also assessed the tourist destinations they visited last year. On this basis a rating of popular Russian cities was compiled.
The NOP-10 list includes St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Gelendzhik, Yalta, Krasnodar, Sevastopol and Anapa.
Among the natural attractions, the most popular among tourists were the republics of the North Caucasus, Karelia and Baikal. The participants of the survey also noted the beauty of Crimea, Krasnodar Territory and Altai.
Most often, travelers ticked off the presence of attractions and picturesque nature.
In general, the respondents were satisfied with their trips around Russia − the number of such answers exceeds 90% for each location.
