"On August 5, the Sapun-Gora Storming on May 7, 1944 Diorama will be closed for renovation until the spring of 2022. The last renovation of the building was carried out more than a quarter of a century ago," the Facebook page of the Panorama reads.

At that time, while the Diorama is under renovation, the Museum invites residents and guests of the hero-city to the street excursions and daily master classes on the military equipment models assembling and the launch of them.

The Diorama is part of the Sapun Mountain memorial complex, which is part of the Sevastopol Defense Museum. It was opened in 1959. The diorama is housed in a two-story semicircular building:  on the first floor there are exhibits telling about Sevastopol during the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War, on the second floor there is an observation deck from which you can see a unique 25.4 by 5.5 meters canvas which depicts the decisive moment of the Soviet army assault on the fortified German positions.

The Diorama is open daily from 09:00 a.m. till 08:00 p.m., the ticket office works from 09:00 a.m. till 07:30 p.m. Location:  Sevastopol, The Sapun Mountain memorial complex.
