According to her, in six months Crimean museums were visited by about 600 thousand privileged visitors, including about 280 thousand children, which is by one third more than in the first half of 2019.

The most popular among residents and guests of the region are the Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve; the Bakhchisaray Historical, Cultural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve; the Livadia Palace Museum; the Sudak Fortress Museum-Reserve and the Eastern Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. And the minister stressed, that the priority in the work of all cultural institutions is to comply with safety measures related to the COVID0-19.

Arina Novoselskaya added that 430 exhibition projects have been implemented this year. At the same time, special attention is paid to inter-museum and inter-regional cooperation.

The minister also said that Crimean museums successfully combine classical museum work with a virtual format and develop new forms. "I am sure that soon, due to the vaccination, we will be able to return to traditional forms of work with visitors, while continuing to actively apply the best practices of online activities," she said.

There are 34 museums in the Republic of Crimea, including 15 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, and 19 museums under the jurisdiction of municipalities.
