"More than 103 thousand motorists used the bridge across the Kerch Strait during the period from December 31 to January 10, which is 12% more than in the same period last year. The total volume of traffic was distributed evenly: about 52 thousand cars crossed over to the peninsula and the same amount went to the mainland," the department informed.

During the New Year holidays, traffic on the Crimean bridge was in a regular mode. On average, the bridge was crossed by more than 9 thousand cars per day. The highest number of cars − 12 thousand − was recorded on January 3.

Since the opening of traffic on the Crimean bridge, 13 million vehicles have passed, of which more than 10 million were cars, 1.6 million were trucks and almost the same number of buses.
