The experts have determined on what dates it is better to plan a vacation or short weekend trip with the most favorable conditions for air travel and how much tickets will cost on holidays in 2021. Find the details in our material.

New Year's Holidays, December 31 — January 10

So, on New Year's holidays, Russians will have days off from December 31 to January 10 — quite a perfect time for an unexpected vacation.  According to the experts of the Tutu.ru service, the TOP-3 popular flight destinations on these dates now include flights from Moscow to Sochi, Kaliningrad and Simferopol.

On average, a flight to Simferopol at the moment will cost 10,639 thousand rubles ($142). On December 31 it will be possible to fly to Simferopol from Moscow for 5.4 thousand rubles ($72) by S7 Airlines, and on January 1 the same airline prices will be reduced to 4.6 thousand rubles ($63). It is equally economical to fly back from Crimea on January 7 to 10 by Aeroflot Airlines when the minimum price for these days will be from 5.9 thousand rubles ($79), the analysts report.

Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 21-23

On Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russian citizens will also have 3 days off — from 21 to 23 February. Tickets from Moscow to Simferopol evening flights on February 20 by Ural Airlines will cost from 3.5 thousand rubles ($47), the minimum price for morning flights by Nordwind Airlines on February 21 will be 3.6 thousand rubles ($48). It will be possible to fly from Simferopol to Moscow in the evening on February 23 for 9.5 thousand rubles ($127) by Red Wings and Pobeda Airlanes with a transfer in St. Petersburg. And it is cheaper and more convenient to fly at midday, when it will be possible to buy a ticket for a direct flight for 3.5 thousand rubles ($47) from Red Wings Airlines.

International Women's Day Holiday, March 6-8

On the International Women's Day, the cost of tickets to Crimea starts from 3.6 thousand rubles ($48). So, morning flights from Moscow to Simferopol by Nordwind Airlines on March 6 will cost 4.5 thousand rubles ($60), and in the afternoon the same airline can fly for 3.6 thousand rubles ($48). Еvening flights on March 5 by Ural Airlines will cost 5.2 thousand roubles ($70). A return ticket in the evening on March 8 will cost 9 thousand rubles ($120) if you fly with S7 Airlines. If you depart in the morning, you can buy a ticket for 5 thousand rubles ($67) from Nordwind Airlines.

May holidays, May 1-3 and May 8-10

Some airlines already sell tickets for the May holidays — from May 1 to 3 and from May 8 to 10.  However, experts note that lower ticket prices are expected after the opening of sales from more airlines. So, at the moment, "May" tickets to Crimea and back by S7 Airlines will cost from 11,549 thousand rubles ($154).

Day of Russia, June 12-14

On the Day of Russia, when the residents of the country will have days off from June 12 to 14, the minimum price for a June 12 round trip flight to Simferopol by S7 Airlines is offered at 14,106 thousand rubles ($ 188).

National Unity Day, November 4-7

National Unity Day in 2021 will add a weekend of days off for Russians from November 4 to 7, but tickets for these dates are not on sale yet, Tutu.ru noted. In 2019 Simferopol, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Mineralnyeh Vody and Krasnodar were in the TOP of the rating of the destinations in Russia.
