So, judging by the preliminary analysis of the collected questionnaires, the number of tourists who plan to come again on vacations to Crimea will not be less than last year's figures, the press service of the Ministry of Resorts informed.

"The data obtained confirm the positive dynamics in the development of the tourism sector in the Republic. In 2019 the share of tourists who were vacationing in Crimea for the first time was 20%, while this year this figure will be significantly exceeded, and thanks to the high level of "returnability" we have extremely positive forecasts for the next season", — said Vadim Volchenko, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea.

The opinion poll was conducted with the involvement of the Tourist Information Center staff at the Simferopol airport and the hot line operators of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea at the railway station.  Administrations of municipalities and accommodation facilities — health resorts, boarding houses, hotels, are also involved in the survey.

After the questionnaires collected, they are analysed in detailes to determine the level of satisfaction with the vacations, the popularity ratings of the regions of the Republic, the pricing policy, interest in excursions and other indicators.  This poll of the guests will continue in Crimea until October 1.

"Such an assessment by our guests of the tourism sector in the regions allows us to identify additional points of growth for the development of the tourism potential of the Republic, to confirm the chosen strategic vector for the development of the tourism sector and to identify the detailed needs of tourists with the help of feedback", — the Minister emphasized.

6,142 guests were surveyed in June-August 2019. According to the results of the survey, the number of tourists satisfied with their vacations is increasing every year. If in 2017, only 60% of people could recommend a vacation in the region, then in 2018 — more than 70% of vacationers, and in 2019 expectations of even 95% of tourists were satisfired. This is the number of respondents who expressed their intention to return to Crimea on vacations.
