This was reported by the Eurasian Union of Travel Industry Specialists, which is the organizer of the competition. A presentation of the Travel Portal was sent to the competition, the main mission of the portal is to popularize Crimea and provide readers with all relevant and reliable information about recreation and health improvement on the peninsula. In the nomination "Internet Branding. Sites and Portals" the Crimean project was recognized as the best and it was awarded an honorary prize.

"This project is very important for Crimea, especially today, when domestic tourism comes to the fore. It becomes the main point of growth in the country, one of the engines of economic development. On behalf of the Government of Crimea and on my own behalf, I congratulate the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism and the staff of the Travel Portal on the well-deserved award. The Crimean government is interested in the development and implementation of innovative projects not only in the tourism sector, but also in other areas that will increase the attractiveness and recognition of the peninsula", — said Irina Kiviko, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea.

In his turn Vadim Volchenko, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, noted that the Crimea Travel Portal has set the desired vector for the search of reliable information about the peninsula. And the recognition of its merits at an international competition is a significant indicator of the Crimean tourism industry development.

"Crimea has long been in the need of such a project that would fill the information vacuum on the Internet and become the ID card of the Republic. Receiving such an honorable prize indicates that we are moving in the right direction. Today, the development of domestic tourism is a priority throughout the world; domestic tourism on the peninsula offers very serious opportunities for growth. We do not stand still and do not stop at what has been achieved", — said Vadim Volchenko, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism.

The international marketing competition "PROBREND" is held by the Union "Eurasian Commonwealth of Travel Industry Specialists — ESOT" among the participants of the tourism market of Russia and other countries in 11 nominations. In particular, national tourist offices, regional administrations, tourist information centers, tour operators and travel agencies, hotels and resorts, advertising agencies, museums, restaurants, cafes, bloggers and photographers take part in it.

The Travel Portal of Crimea started up on July 1, 2019. The resource was tailored to the world standards by leading Russian experts, its main mission is to provide all relevant and reliable information about the tourist, resort and recreational opportunities of the peninsula.
