The personnel of the bases and military units of the Southern Military Command began to prepare for military parades in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The events will be held in 10 cities of the territorial military Command, including the Crimean peninsula, RIA Novosti writes with reference to the press service of the Southern Military Command.

So, Victory parades will be held in the Hero cities of Sevastopol, Kerch, Volgograd and Novorossiysk, as well as in the cities of the territorial headquarters of the Southern Military Command: Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don, Novocherkassk, Stavropol, Vladikavkaz and Kaspiysk. 

"Colonel-General Alexander Dvornikov, commander of the South Military Command troops, ordered the relocation of military personnel participating in the parades, as well as the preparation of their temporary bases for the period of the preparation. The commander demanded that special attention be paid to epidemiological safety measures in order to prevent spreading of a new wave of viral infection", — the press service of the Southern Military Command Informed.

More than 43 thousand military, more than 800 units of weapons and military equipment (modern and those of the World War II) will take part in parades of troops in the cities of the territorial Command. In addition, about 120 aircraft will be involved. 

Recently Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Victory Parade, which was postponed due to the epidemic, will be held on June 24. At the same time, the traditional procession of the Immortal Regiment is scheduled for July 26, after the parade of the Navy.
