"We have sent an invitation on behalf of the organizing committee, and we have received a confirmation that Marine Le Pen planned to participate in the plenary session of the forum on April 19. Louis Aliot, as the vice president of the National Rally, will certainly take part as well," Nazarov told reporters after his meeting with Le Pen and Aliot.
He said that the French delegation was going to include at least 50 politicians and public figures.
"The organizing committee of the forum assigned the French delegation an honorable status. This envisages a quota of 50 seats. That is why we expect the French delegation to comprise at least 50 politicians and public figures. Hopefully, this delegation will be headed by Marine Le Pen," Nazarov noted.
The YIEF is an annual business event and one of the four biggest economic forums held in Russia. In May, the YIEF press service announced that the fifth forum would be held on April 17-20, 2019.
This year, the YIEF brought together participants from 71 countries.
