It is in the east of Crimea, between the small town of Noviy Svet and the village of Vesyoloyeh. It is an ancient coral reef and it has a height of 341 meters. From the Turkic language, the name of the mountain is translated as "watch tower" or "viewing peak".
The plateau massif has rocky walls, ridges and cliffs. The southern spur of the mountain is Cape Chicken. On the western slope of the plateau there are the remains of the Bosporus fortress.
