The bay lies between Koktebel and Feodosia, bounded by Cape Сhameleon to the west and Cape Pyaty to the east and the Biyuk-Yanishar Mountain Ridge to the north. Tikhaya Bay's fauna includes 64 rare species of plants native to Crimea. The bay is also home to 15 species of animals and 25 species of birds included in the Red Data Book.
