The Massandra Palace is part of the Alupka Palace and Park Open-Air Museum. It was built in the late 19th century to the designs of architects Etienne Bouchard and Maximilian Messmacher in the early Baroque style. Elements of Romanic and Gothic styles, Baroque, Rococo and Classicism were used in the interior design. A museum was opened in the palace in 1992. The exposition of the palace interior of the latter half of the 19th century is displayed on the ground and first floors, and exhibitions are held on the second floor.
