A landmark of the burial culture of the Bosporan Kingdom, the crypt dates back to the 1st century AD. On the walls of the chamber, there are surviving murals depicting Pluto's abduction of Cora, the daughter of the goddess Demeter. The fresco on the ceiling depicts Demeter. In 1998, after groundwater flooded the crypt, its technological model was recreated on a scale of 1:1 at the foot of the Great Mithridates Staircase. It is a subdivision of the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve.
