The children's camp Artek was established in 1925 and was the hallmark of the Soviet Young Pioneer organisation. Today it is one of the world's largest children's centres with an area of 218 hectares, of which 102 hectares are taken up by parks. The participants can enjoy 7 km of beaches, 10 camps, educational and sports centres. Every year more than 30,000 guests stay at Artek.
Visits to the children's centre are limited.
