The medieval Armenian church was built in Feodosia in 1330. It is an architectural landmark of the 14th-15th centuries and one of the oldest Armenian Orthodox churches on the peninsula. The life of the great seascape painter Ivan Aivazovsky is closely connected with this church: he was baptised, married here and buried here. The painter's grave is located in the church grounds.
