A monument to the great traveller in Feodosia is one of just three such monuments in the world: in Tver, his native city, in India, where he travelled, and in Feodosia, the first Russian city he returned to after many years of travels. These three monuments make up a ring showing the distance Afanasy Nikitin covered. The monument was unveiled in 2008.
