In 1913, Poet Marina Tsvetayeva and her sister Anastasia lived in Feodosiya. In the 1990s, over 1,000 items were collected for the future museum through the efforts of the admirers of Marina Tsvetayeva's poetry. In 2001, the museum was officially registered as a division of the Maximilian Voloshin Cimmeria Reserve. Later, the city allocated premises next to the building where Anastasia Tsvetayeva rented a flat. In July 2009, the Museum of Marina and Anastasia Tsvetayevs opened its doors.
