The mosque was built by architect Nikolai Krasnov for Prince Felix Yusupov in 1910. It is located near his hunting house. The Yusupov Mosque's rectangular shape resembles a basilica. The walls are decorated with inscriptions in Arabic and lancet windows. The minaret is covered with granite tiles and adorned with intricate carving. A belt of light-coloured granite above the upper row of windows is a special element of decoration.
