The construction of the fortress lasted from the 13th century through the 14th century. First, it only had fortifications made of earth, which were later replaced with a stone wall and 26 defence towers. It looks impressive even today. At the top there are remains of the gallery with arrow slits that could be used by the defenders of the fortress to shoot.
